ABOUT US
RESOURCE CENTER
The Investors Academy was established in 2015 as a resource to support veterans and parolees Prior to being based at the Resource Center, our Executive Director facilitated pop-up events and programs within communities across SW Atlanta. We rallied a community of volunteers and created a grassroots effort to provide diverse programming. In 2017 we received our 501C3 status and obtained a hub to house our programs. We named this hub The Resource Center as it offers a safe space for the community to obtain resources.
Our Board of Directors is comprised of Individuals in real estate, counseling, teaching, human resource, job training and placement experience who work to actualize our vision of developing programs to prepare ex-offender s for the next level in their lives. They are a team of professionals adept in program execution for outreach, re-entry, mentorship, advocacy, and fund-raising. The team will consist of one program director, a program manager, trainers, counselors, social workers, and support staff.
The Director will formulate policles on re-entry and reintegration activities with the aim of enhancing rehabilitation and settlement of ex-offenders. He will also serve as a link between the agency and external stakeholders by liaising with government institutions, prisons, donors, service partners, corporations, and charitable agencies. The Program Manager will be in charge of the day-to-day activities of the program.
A team of social workers, trainers and counselors will lead the program on the individual and group level. Social workers and counselors will undertake the outreach events and counseling activities.
